Indulge in the irresistible flavors of our Focaccia with Red Sicilian Pesto—a delicious twist on a classic favorite that’s sure to satisfy!
500 gr ( 4 ½ cups) of flour
250-300 gr (1 cup) of water, approximately
10 g (3 tsp) of brewer’s yeast
10 g (1 ½ teaspoon) of salt
1 tablespoon of Terra Surti extra virgin olive oil
190 gr (1 cup) of Terra Surti Sicilian red pesto
3 tablespoons of water
Rosemary (optional)
Coarse salt
- Knead the flour with the yeast dissolved in the water, add the salt and extravirgin olibr oil, and continue kneading for 7-8 minutes.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl and let it rise for about an hour, until it has doubled in size.
- Spread the dough in the oiled pan and let it rise again in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- With your fingertips, make deep holes all over the surface of the dough until you touch the bottom of the pan, fill them with the pesto diluted with water, and let it rise again until it has doubled in volume.
- Garnish with some rosemary and some coarse salt and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F/ 190°C for about 20 minutes.
